And why I’m writing now

It would be easy to blame why It’s been so hard to write lately on work. Work has definitely been busy and I am definitely exhausted. But that’s not really the whole story. In truth, I haven’t wanted to write. I haven’t felt like it. I haven’t really felt inspired.

But last night I watched Michelle Obama give one of the most incredible political speeches I’ve ever heard and tonight I saw a woman become her party’s nominee for President of the United States, so consider me inspired.

There is a lot of bad in this world right now but everything that speech stands for is moving and wonderful.
